It wasn’t until Alex joined the Drama class in high school that he was interested in a career in performing. Although at the end of the year the instructor came up to Alex and gave him her notes on some of his abilities... It was then Alex decided to push forward in a career in performing.
Straight after school Alex auditioned and received entry into a two-year full time course obtaining the Diploma of the Arts with instructor Megan Jones from the VCA. The course provided Alex with all the training and all necessary elements to perform on stage. He thoroughly enjoyed all aspects within and showed his talents in many performances.
Fallen sky was a performance about the environmental issues we are faced with today; which was part of the VCE drama list and entered into the fringe festival. Alex had the lead role in the production and was praised for his determination and his ‘knack for performing’. Another role was the production of Antigone. Alex played the character of Hamon and, said by audience members, ‘was really dedicated to the role’.
Alex has been performing for the last 6 years and for a majority of that, he has participated in a number of theatre performances, including: Fallen sky, Antigone, The Interrogator, Proteazac and lily-thium, Jerry Sprunger and Car jack. Half of which were lead roles.
Alex then wanted to start entering into film and to help him on his way he undertook more studies in acting for film and television with instructors Peter Sardi and Kim Kerjus and since then been in student films with lead roles and commercials.
He has also been training in Funk/hip hop for the last 3 years and Street Latin for the last year, and has recently become a dance instructor. Alex sees his future wide open and full of possibilities, he always has and always will give anything a go.
